ON THE ONE HAND

Tales of biological clocks on snooze, lives packed in boxes and cities in bags. Six women of different ages and at different stages of their lives, explore what it means to age.

Growing ambitions and shrinking pensions to career changes and dementia;  The Paper Birds present their visually stunning 10 year anniversary show interrogating the inevitable journey that our minds and bodies undertake from birth to death.   Premiered at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Northern Stage @ St Stephens, 2013.

'The performances are, without exception, outstanding. While the combination of physical theatre, spare dialogue, dry humour, a haunting musical score and an imaginative set that brings together several domestic spaces into one structure all add up to a hugely satisfying, powerful piece of thought-provoking theatre.'
