OPPORTUNITIES

Work With Us!

We’re looking to recruit up to 3 new trustees to help steer us through the next exciting stage of our evolution.

We are looking to strengthen and add to our varied and inclusive Board and are looking for a wide range of voices and life experiences to join us. If you share our values and vision and feel you can bring relevant skills to add to ours we’d love to hear from you.

In dialogue with our existing Trustees, we have identified the below desirable skill sets which we feel are important areas of growth in their ambitious programme of work over the next 3 years:

* Digital Reach and Audience Engagement

* Fundraising

* Access and Inclusion

* Business Development

Our work seeks to represent the voices of diverse peoples. As individuals and as an organisation we are committed to social justice and positive change. We encourage applications from people from the global majority, those who have experienced racism, discrimination and/or cultural barriers due to their ethnicity, disability, D/deafness, gender identity or socio-economic background, as we proactively strive to better represent the communities we work with. We believe that our work and company will be made all the richer and stronger from having people from a broad range of lived experiences in our team.

We’re also interested in hearing from candidates based in the South East, to support us to further network and embed ourselves in this region, and so we are better able to represent local people through our work.

This is a voluntary position, and no previous Board experience is required as full training and support will be provided.

You will be required to attend a minimum of 3 of the quarterly meetings held per year (held via Zoom) plus an additional annual Away Day, for which travel expenses will paid within the UK.

The trustees are being recruited on a rolling basis from April 2024, so there is no deadline for application, but anyone interested should apply as soon as possible.

Successful applicants will receive a full induction and be assigned a current Board Member to support their integration into the company.

You can find out more information from our Recruitment Pack, which you can download below.

To apply, please submit a short cover letter, setting out your interest, plus relevant knowledge and skills, accompanied by your CV.

Please send completed applications to our Executive Producer, Charlotte Kalantari-Gregory: charlotte@thepaperbirds.com
